Oak Run Homeowners Association, Inc.

since2003-1-2970303The website (at the current address) was created by John Baccoli on January 23, 2004 as a personally-owned and personally-paid website. A predecessor site was created by John months earlier as an ISP domain from AT&T.

With very patient and helpful tutoring from Jim Dillman the site began to take shape. John’s purpose for the site was to provide Oak Run residents with information such as Board meeting minutes, By-laws, Policies and Procedures and interesting coming events. These two early sites were well received by the community and John continued his service as Oak Run’s Webmaster for four years.

In late 2006 after discussions with various Board members John decided to transfer ownership of the website to the Oak Run Homeowners Association (ORHA). With the transfer complete, in January 2007 Bill Pascoe became the ORHA Webmaster. Bill enlisted the help of Bob Sheetz and John McHale to obtain software that would make maintaining and expanding the site easier and less HTML code intensive.

Carrying on John’s tradition of providing information to residents Bill began to include new pages for many clubs and organizations in Oak Run. Eventually the Channel-12 notices and links to local websites were added. Bill had many assistants during this time of expansion who provided content and other help with the new web pages. After four successful years Bill decided to step down as Webmaster.

In January 2011 Jim Waddell, ORHA President, began searching for a new Webmaster. In March 2011 Ron Kenyon assumed the role as ORHA Webmaster. Ron began a complete redesign of the website, adding many improvements and enhancements.

The site was reorganized, navigation aids were installed on all pages and new content was introduced. Along with increased content for established residents, content was added for new residents, renters and out of state readers (potential residents).

After more than nine years of community service, Ron officially retired in June, 2020. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Ron will continue to serve into 2022. ORHA welcomes those who will carry on the volunteer tradition of John Baccoli, Bill Pascoe and Ron Kenyon.

This website continues to be the “Gateway To

Information” for Oak Run.
